To help you get the most out of your course we have a variety of ways to provide you with the support you need:
- Every student has a personal tutor, with whom you will meet regularly to check your progress and make sure you are on track to meet your goals.
- The Additional Learning Support team are available to provide assistance if you have difficulties with any aspect of your learning. If you have a specific learning difficulty or disability, problems with English and Maths, are deaf or hearing impaired, or missing the essential skills needed to complete your course, we are here to help.
- Our Learning Resources Centre is a fantastic facility that has everything you’ll need to advance your learning outside of the classroom, with a comprehensive library, quiet study spaces, group study area, top IT equipment, access to a wide range of resources – including journals and e-books – and much more.
We provide a free and confidential service for all students during term time to provide support with issues in your personal life, including emotional difficulties, family and relationship problems, loss and bereavement, eating disorders, stress, concerns about College or a range of other situations.
Suffering from bullying is not something you have to put up with at our College – we’re here to take action on any instances of bullying. We have an anti-bullying policy to tackle bullying in all its forms – we make sure you can report any bullying quickly and easily, and take swift action to ensure it stops.
We provide all our students with the help they need to stay safe online, including sharing information, social networking, email, text messaging and more. So if you need advice about protecting yourself online or would like to report a concern, we’re here to help.
